Mike Miller

Vice President, Innovation & Technology


Coach Mike worked as the Chief Technical Officer for the Dallas Charge during the 2015 & 2016 seasons, as well as the lead technical liaison for the Scrap Yard Dawgs during its inception into the National Pro Fastpitch League.

He currently oversees day-to-day technical operations for Texas Glory including their web presence & social media activity as well as information officer duties. Outside of Texas Glory, Mike also works with several other companies in the industry in their technological advancement as it relates to amateur softball. Along with Texas Glory's Kevin Shelton, Mike co-owns the Slapping School, a DFW based company focused on training young hitters in the specialized form of offense known as slap hitting. Under their tutelage, over 50 slappers have gone one to play college softball.

Mike has coached fastpitch softball at the amateur level since 2002 and currently coaches 12u & 14u teams in the Texas Glory organization where he has coached since 2009. Additionally in 2021, Coach Mike was a member of the USA Softball Junior Olympic National Team system where he coached a U14 team. He is an ASA Level IV certified coach, and has given private hitting instruction in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area for a number of years. A long standing member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and an executive board member of the North Texas Fastpitch Coaches Association, you may have seen Mike over the years coaching on national television networks such as ESPN, and CBS Sports.

Mike is the grandson of the late 9x STL Metro Men's ASA Fastpitch champion pitcher "Big Bill" Miller and cousins of Meremec Softball standout Michelle Smith, and Middle Tennessee State alum Brandi Boehner. Mike's daughter Jade was an All-American standout and school record holder in multiple categories at Plano Senior High School and is a 3 time collegiate All-American & former college coach, currently coaching at the prep level within the Texas Glory organization.
